Have been here twice because my husband likes it. Not impressed. Worst coffee ever! Very waterer down. Not sure how hard it is to mess up a cup of Joe. Hash browns were gross and not even fully cooked. Cute decor.

Got an omelette here & it was okay. The toast was burnt to hell & the potatoes tasted greasy. Our waiter got our ice cream order completely wrong which was a bummer. Waited forever for the check.. Not the greatest but then again it is colonial.

We came for lunch knowing this place is known for their ice cream. We got the appetizer (quesadilla, cheese curds, chicken tenders and onion rings, all of which. Was really good). Hubs got the 1966 patty melt (was 4/5) and I had the French onion soup (returned it, which is very rare, was way too sweet) and the Mac n cheese (pretty ordinary, Kraft is better). We created our own sundae that was good. What I found upsetting is out of the 5 tables within our view, there was only 1 comment card and it was really dirty. Not worth the $43. No. Not coming back.

We've been here before for breakfast before we had a child and it was good. Today we went for our daughter's birthday as she is 2 and figured it would be good for dinner and ice cream without having to take a toddler multiple places. It was voted best family friendly restaurant, right? We ordered meatloaf for her, DH got country fried steak and I got nachos. Before our food came, we had a water spill and asked for extra napkins. We got 3. The meatloaf was a good size for a 2 year old. Any kid 4+ would wolf down that portion size, IMO. It came out just warm, which is good because she won't eat anything too hot. The plate, however, was scorching hot! We had to use a different plate. DH's food was good, hot, and I would say a 4+. My nachos were very strange for a family friendly place. They weren't trying to be anything different or gourmet, nachos are easy, right? The chips were weirdly greasy. There was almost no cheese on them. The chili was a small pile in the middle vs a little all over. There was plenty (too much) salsa all over the top. The sour cream was good (not a cheapo, grainy kind), the guac was actually quite good (vs some with mega fillers). It was just very disappointing that there was almost no cheese! What the heck?!?!? Then we ordered ONE dessert item to share. Unfortunately, our server's area got a table of 8 right after we ordered. They got seated, order taken, drinks delivered and soups and salads delivered while we waited. The table behind us got their entrees also while we waited. It was a 5 scoop sundae with a brownie and hot fudge...should take about 3 minutes to make. We waited a good 15 minutes while the birthday girl had a major meltdown and had to be walked around the restaurant for entertainment. We were almost ready to just walk out. Blah. But we waited as she rarely gets sweets and this was a special occasion. The sundae was finally delivered and she loved blowing out the candle and eating the ice cream. Overall, an ok experience. I would say they aren't delivering on the family friendly experience necessarily with the dessert wait time, and the nachos should be skipped. We will try again here as you need a family friendly restaurant with a kid. I will update if we go again. Edited to add: due to having a toddler and me having nachos - we needed to ask for extra napkins THREE times. We got 3 napkins each time. We used every last one of them. Toddlers = need more napkins and nachos = need more napkins. Just bring me a pile next time, ok? Let's agree that you can bring me a stack of $.01 napkins for my next visit, LOL. :)

The location is in a re-purposed 1980's strip mall. So there is a sea of asphalt in front of the location and it has little curb appeal. Once inside this place it only gets worse. The interior is absolutely horrid, not the traditional diner style of their other restaurants. It is cheaply (and poorly) decorated in what appears to be some kind of retro 1950's art-deco theme. Why am I criticizing the appearance of the restaurant so much? Well with such a poor feeling about the location you kind of have a chip on your shoulder while waiting for your food. It gives you time to focus on the food and service. You then realize it is really not all that special. The server was over-sat and the service was average at best. The food was meh.... A Chicken Cesar Salad with basically Microwaved lunch meat on top of lettuce. The Iced Tea tasted like it was triple strength and was way too strong I have gone to Colonial Resturants for decades. This one left such a poor taste in my memory that I won't be in a rush to go back anytime soon.

So, let me start by saying that I've never written a review before. However, I was so blown away by the upgrade in the freshness of everything here at Colonial. I've probably have eaten here at least a dozen times and it wasn't ever as great as today's meal. Additionally, our waiter was attentive but we witnessed Lisa training a server. She was so positive and complimentary. This made for a wonderful atmosphere of caring. Min, the general manager, is going to be an outstanding addition as well. We will now be open to trying other meals besides breakfast.

Stopped by on whim for breakfast on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and were overwhelmed by the menu. I decided on the blueberry pancakes 2+2 breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon. My son got the Jr. Mousing Around Chocolate Chip pancakes. When our food came, my pancakes did not have blueberries in them. The waitress was very apologetic and offered to fix it, but I declined because we were in a hurry. She did bring a side of blueberries as an apology. The eggs were good and the plain pancakes were decent. My son absolutely loved his chocolate chip pancakes to where he ate more than half of it...which if you knew my son would realize that is a lot for him. Definitely will come back to try other items.

We were here on Sat morning, Mar 21. As we were being seated we were presented with a special Chef's special menu. The manager seated us and encouraged us to try something on it. The first thing on it was my absolute favorite breakfast side dish - grits. Both my husband and I were excited to order them. For the rest of my order, I asked for Handmade Sausage and Eggs - eggs over medium. When the food finally came, the grits were runny and way undercooked as were my eggs. We sent the grits back and our server tried to microwave them hoping to cook them more. They boiled over - how do I know? The boil-over was coating the side of my bowl. When she brought them back, she didn't bother to wipe them out. When we asked her to take them off our bill, she said "Well, you know you are in Illinois, you can't expect us to know how to cook grits!" Ummmm, hello, you all put them on the Chef's special menu not us! Don't make a big deal about it if your cooks don't know how to make it!!!! Check out the pictures I loaded on Saturday morning. Disappointed...

I try to visit whenever I'm in town - great breakfasts... Servers can be hit or miss in terms of how attentive they are but that can be like that anywhere. Great pancakes - blueberry and banana - my mom and I ordered one of each and split. Not sure which was better. Coffee very good too.

We came in on a Sunday and were greeted right away in the front. The hostess walked us to a corner spot booth. While on the way, I couldn't help but notice the floor and tables. Filthy. Every other table but one in the area we sat wasn't cleared. (See photo) The good about the server? Didn't mess up our orders. We got everything we asked for. The not so good? Very mopey. Seemed to be in a bad mood. Also, he needs to learn to stop at a few tables before going back to the ticket area or pos computer or whatever. He would take a tables order, go place it, come back, stop at the next table, go back to bring the table what they wanted then move down the line. Table by table. All we wanted was more napkins. Something that he could've grabbed on the way back from getting something from the waiter area took way longer than expected. This happened several times. 10 mins just to order ice cream too. How was the food? Excellent. No complaints there. Oh, and they did eventually start to clear the tables after about 20 minutes there. Then two kids who worked there started to vacuuming the floors right next to us. The whole time shouting over the vacuum noise talking about how they couldn't wait to get off work and also discussed school. My friends fork was also dirty when she unwrapped it. I tried to take a photo but I didn't want to be obvious so my camera couldn't focus. Again, great food. I hate to give the poor review.

What can I say? Colonial is native to Saint Charles. If you grew up in Saint Charles, you went to Colonial for ice cream, a kitchen sink, or even just breakfast with your family. I've always loved Colonial. It's close to my house, and they always make great food. I do miss the atmosphere of the old location on Route 38, but the new one is kind of fun as well. They're always well staffed and make sure you have a great experience. I do love that Colonial is growing, I mean, hey, it's made its way up to Crystal Lake! In conclusion, you know you love Colonial if you're from Saint Charles; you grew up on it.

It was my first a d definitely last time here. I ordered nachos thinking it's pretty hard to screw up. ..or so I thought. I asked for jalapeños and they brought roasted and when I asked for the other kind they brought me fresh chopped. When I sent that back they informed me that they no longer carry the marinated ones. Oy! Then, the actual nachos are apparently doused with chili fajita seasoning. .. it was awful. The beans were nasty too!. I sent my food back. The server wouldn't take it back. He instead sent the manager over, who took my plate and didn't even ask me if I wanted to order anything else. .. Instead I sat there while everyone else ate. After which I just went to subway.

Colonial is a tried and true staple of the fox valley area - and this location is similar to the rest. I've always had great service and decent food whether I am present for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I'm giving this location one more star than I would give the other locations because I find this location cleaner and to have more attentive service than others. I recently ate here and enjoyed soup and a sandwich, but I really love their paninis and chicken Caesar salad for lunch, and their fresh fruit crepes or sunshine special for breakfast. On my most recent visit my friend had trouble with his meal - and the staff handled it excellently. I know he would dine here again too. Is the food fantastic - no, but it is definitely good and reliable and fairly priced. Don't forget to check out their wonderful ice cream selections.

Great service and really good food. Had the Pot Roast French Dip sandwich, the meat was tender and flavorful. My nephew had the Bacon Cheddar burger, he said it was the best burger he's ever had. The portions are plentiful we went home with left overs.

My wife and I are huge fans! We first found out about this place after the dealership (prestige imports) gave us a coupons for Cafe Colonial. Our first meal was exceptional. Great service and a great food. Our second visit my wife misread the menu but disaster was averted. Her meal was way better than she even expected, in fact she said should order it again! Overall this restaurant is very unique and delicious. Great value and awesome service.

The service has improved so I'm upping my rating to a 5. We go for breakfast every weekend now. They have a great selection of items and we have been happy with them all. My favorite is a trieggathon omelette, which comes with toast and fruit. They do substitutions with no problems. Very yummy.

Love the peanut butter chocolate ice cream, veg head skillet, turkey pot pie, banana foster pancakes, CA Turkey grill and vesuvio melt. Food is great quality and the ice cream is even better. Give this place a chance. You won't be disappointed!

I have been going here for years now and the service is on and off, depends on who the manager is. The portions have also been reduced by allot over the years, I remember getting a good portion for the price, but again, now pricing is a bit steep with less. Overall good family place and will go now from time to time.

I've grown up in the area and remembered going here as a kid, teenager, etc. Then a job forced us out of the area for a few years. When we moved back a couple years ago, I enjoyed the obvious changes to Colonial. Food seemed improved and the inside of the restaurant was drastically different. Then we went here a few weeks ago and I'm not sure what happened but it's not as good. Could be a one time bad experience thing but the food wasn't as good and the staff seemed....rushed? I don't know, a basic like the chicken tenders used to be excellent here for kids, this time, not so much. I don't know, maybe we'll try again but everything on our plates just seemed of lower quality and not as good as my previous visits. Oh well, plenty of places to choose from in the area! I'm sure the ice cream is still good!

The Colonial group of seven restaurants (St. Charles east and west side, Elgin, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Aurora, and Naperville) is locally-owned so they get an extra nod for that vs the large chains. Food quality varies a little bit from location to location, with the two St. Charles sites being better than some of the others, but it's never disappointing. We're big fans of their Cobb salad, turkey club sandwich and the turkey dinner (available after 4pm). Recently I tried the turkey pot pie and it's now a favorite--a wonderful, light crust just floats on top of the rest of the "pie" and it's got a wonderful flavor that lingers. Service is always friendly. Ask for a Dinner and/or Lunch Club card, visit 10 times and you get a free meal and sundae!

Colonial Cafe was the mainstay of my childhood (when we weren't eating at Olive Garden, that is). It's not out-of-this world food, and the ice cream isn't even the best I've ever had, but it gets a 5 simply for the nostalgia. I always try and get out to Colonial every time I'm in the area and want a piece of home. I've eaten more sundaes that look like mice than any other type of sundae. I'd still order them if I weren't too embarrassed to be ordering off the kids menu. The waiters aren't the best, but they do try. The food isn't the best, but it isn't bad either. The ice cream isn't the best, but you can taste the love in it. It is the most quintessential midwestern old farm ice cream parlour in the area, though. It's made it through 80 years and it'll make it 80 more. They've opened stores and closed them. It will always be a mainstay in the area, though. I can't imagine this part of the country without it.

It's ok. The breakfast is good. The Kitchen Sink was a disappointement. A big sundae that you get a bumper sticker for if you eat it that comes in a little sink. The scoops are so small, it is easy to finish it. Ice cream sundaes are pretty good, but again the scoops are small.

I used to LOVE Colonial. I would have my wedding, funeral, and bat mitzva there if I could. But I am not engaged, dying, or Jewish. The ice cream is really great, but lately I've been really saddened by the lack of food quality. I'm pretty sure there was a wave of really great waitresses that left, and the new kids just don't get it. They mumble, my eggs were underdone, my hashbrowns were raw...what happened, Colonial? You dropped the ball. If you do go, try to get Shea as your waitress. She's very nice and always good about getting the order down.

Okay. I went here the other night as part of a special event our community put on. Sort of a social event and introduction to the restaurant. Some people had been here before and some hadn't. I was one of the latter. Parking: amble. it's part of a larger shopping complex with another restaurant and a large supermarket. Restaurant Appearance: kind of a boxy 60's retro look. The booths seemed to be quiet and separated from other customers. Not exactly a 60's diner set up or family style but no different than most other restaurants of this type at this time. would call this average. Appetizers: I had some of the Hand Battered Chicken Fingers and the Macho Nachos. Chicken fingers are either good or very bad (cooked too long). These were good. The Macho Nachos had me hooked. I kept coming back to them while there were still some left on the plate. Very good. Others in the group had the Chicken Quesadillas and the Bruschetta Bread. They seemed to go down quickly. Entree: Had a portion of the Tuscan Turkey (roasted turkey, smoked bacon, caramelized red onions, a little avocado, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and a mayo pesto. It had a lot of different flavors going down. Some sweet, some tangy. I wouldn't say it was one of the best sandwiches I've had but up there as a main entree. 4 stars here. I also was able to pinch a hamburger slider which had some thin onions on top, some cheese and was about average to good. Service: Service was good and timely, but this was a large group (25) and the restaurant was aiming to please. All in all, I saw a lot of activity at other tables, smiles, and some high energy. Judging from some of the other reviews I've seen, they may have taken notice. We will return here next month when our granddaughter is visiting and update this review if I feel something is either better or worse. (Oh, by the way, if you like ice cream, I'm told this is a good place to buy it. And, if you're having dessert, the "kitchen sink" was getting a lot of attention.

I like Colonial Cafe. Food is pretty good and just what you might expect from a typical family restaurant . Everything is fairly priced. The reason it gets four stars instead of five is for the service. A bit slow and on more than one occasion either the waitstaff appears to be over worked or they just don't care. Ship the Elgin location . It's old and run down. I love the ice cream though.

  • Margaux D.

We all scream for ice cream. I grew up in STC, and I can still remember the first time that my mom finally let me have a "Kitchen Sink". I think I was five. I ate about one scoop and then gave the mountain of leftovers to family, but I was hooked. It's been a few years since then, and they still make their Kitchen Sinks the same. Although they changed locations recently, they still use those fake sinks--plumbing and all--and hand out bumper stickers to those who order the Kitchen Sink. I will say, though, that since the restaurant changed hands, the food/coffee quality has gone way down. They just don't give you the same amount of food, and they seem less like the down-home cafe that they once were. I know a ton of people who just flat out refuse the coffee now a days. I'd say stick to desserts at colonial, and you'll be a happy camper. nom nom nom.

This is a great family restaurant! The food is good with a menu that is typical for a family restaurant with a few interesting twists too. It is just a little more expensive than it should be but the chain offers so many deals (Planitkane offers the best) that it more than balances out. The chain is a favorite of mine too because it is very community oriented. Colonial donates to a lot of local causes and also offers many opportunities for fundraisers.

We seem to be finding a lot of these places lately. Here's another okay place to eat. Not good, not bad, just okay. The new location on Randall is a lot cleaner and efficient than the old place on Rt. 38. Prices are good, food is consistent, and prices are great. Like I seem to be saying a lot lately, i can recommend this place without hesitation, and if you like the place, you're in luck. it'll be the same always. However, if it doesn't turn you on, you can move on to my next review... TIP: Place is PACKED for breakfast on Sunday.

I started writing this review about 10 days ago, but it got lost in cyberspace. I ate my evening meal here while my wife was in the hospital on Friday, June 21. I ordered a Sam Adams beer and the fish and chips. The beer arrived in a timely fashion with a cool glass, but I had to pour it myself. No major issue. However, when the meal arrived it was announced as the fish fry instead of the fish and chips. I said that I had order the fish and chips and was rudely informed that the waiter ASSUMED that I had wanted the Friday special of the fish fry. I stated that I really desired what I had ordered and nothing else. The plate of food was removed after I insisted that I ONLY wanted what I ordered and nothing more except for a piece of cornbread that evidently comes with both meals. After a longer wait my meal arrived but the server informed me that another piece of fish would be coming since she had dropped one on the floor. I ate the EXTREMELY poor tasting fish and the badly cooked "chips" and then was told that my other fish piece would be right out. I told them to forget it because I was finished. At least my meal was "taken care of" and I paid nothing. The service was TERRIBLE and the food was not much better.

I have been to this location because it is close to where some relatives live. Food here is good. I am giving this place one star based on the interior. All the other locations have that old school diner / restaurant feel. This one they really tarted up a while ago with some space age furniture and decor. I hate it. It works for other places, but not the Colonial Cafe. I felt like I was in a Jetsons episode.

I went here today for a family breakfast. We had a medium sized group. Our waitress was all sorts of discombobulated. I could write an entire review on all the service issues we had but my main reason for writing is over an allergy issue. As a mom of a child with food allergies I always like to be informed of places that are A+ in their awareness or should be avoided altogether. I asked our server if the eggs were cooked in butter and she said yes but she could put in for them to be cooked dry and make sure the kitchen knew of my daughter's dairy allergy. I felt reassured at how easy it was to order. HOWEVER when the food was brought out, the lady who brought out the food was perplexed because there was an order of dry hash browns and my daughter's food cooked not dry. She explained to me that their food is never cooked with butter and they only use soybean oil and she has no idea why the waitress put in for dry hash browns (no mention of the eggs!). She went back to double check and came out and reassured me everything was only cooked in soybean oil. Meanwhile the waitress came over and told me not to feed my child any of that because it was cooked in butter. The other lady fired over her shoulder "no it's not! She's fine to eat it!" um what?!?! Considering how mixed up the waitress was, I ended up trusting the lady who rechecked with the kitchen but seriously I feel like when it comes to issues like food allergies the restaurant should ALL be on the same page. How unprofessional. Not to mention the waitress kept muttering to us an the tables around us how understaffed the restaurant was etc. just a really awkward experience.

Colonial cafe is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth with some great desserts. They have a wide variety of sweet treats usually featuring their delicious ice cream. My favorite dessert is the turtle split which has vanilla ice cream topped with drizzled chocolate and caramel, banana halves, whipped cream, cherries, and these amazing buttered and salted pecan halves sprinkled all over the top. Mmmmmmmmmmm. What was I saying? Oh yeah, good desserts. Right. If you are going to eat food here, simple is best. I have tried some of the fancier salads and entrees without great results, and thinking back, I probably would have been more satisfied sticking to a burger or chili. I have always been a fan of their cornbread as well. After I got my check today, it seems that the prices have gone up, especially on the desserts! Is it me, or was my portion smaller too?! I am not worried though, next time I will go on a Monday after 4 because kids eat free, so I can have my cake and eat it too!

Excellent family cafe. We were there last night for supper, myself and hubby, daughter & hubby + 4 yr. old triplets. Awesome waitress Shannon, GPa & GMa shared the home style meatloaf with garlic red potato mashed potatoes and southern style green beans. Yummy, kids had bow tie pasta with meatball, and one had the bow tie pasta with Alfredo sauce. Plus we had dessert, gummy sundaes and shakes. Really a great time. Reasonable prices.

Love the at home vibe this place gives off. As a matter of fact one of the old photos they've got hanging up I actually have up in my own house. (the one with the guys playing golf in an alley with no pants on behind the tailors, yea that one!) Why I really enjoyed my visit: Great staff, super friendly. Strawberry lemonade with real strawberries. Salmon in a bag! I normally don't like rice pilaf but there's wasn't bad. Sweet Corn But the best was the corn bread!!! Now because this place is part cafe part ice cream parlor they have this crazy concoction called the Kitchen Sink Sundae. It has two whole bananas with six scoops of vanilla, chocolate, & strawberry ice cream, 3 toppings covered with whipped cream, nuts & a cherry on top! Eat the sink and get a bumper sticker! I for sure want to come back for that bad boy, I doubt I'll finish it all but I'm up for the challenge.

What good ol' American dinners should be. Great tasting hearty meals, friendly staff, fast service without interfering with the quality and easy on the wallet. Only thing not giving it 5 stars is the lack of counters and stools like a old fashion ice cream shoppe.

PLEASE CLEAN THIS PLACE UP!!! The floor is filthy old carpet, the wood trim on the booths are extremely dusty, and the wood is just filthy looking. I have no appetite here when I come because I feel like I'm in a roach motel. I know it's not Chez Paris, but get some cleaning crew in here, have SOME standards. I also saw my waitress make a sundae and lick her fingers. Gross.

Love this place! Seriously, Colonial plays a major part in my memories of growing up in St. Charles. Blue Moon ice cream, O-O-Oreo shakes, Mint Fudge Chippers, Ultimate Skillets, the infamous Kitchen Sink...delish! Sure, their food is standard diner fare. But this place is an institution, and their ice cream is amazing. It is family friendly, but also a great place to cure a hangover. I do remember getting food poisoning once from the location on the west side after eating a cheeseburger (this was probably in 7th or 8th grade). My mom called the restaurant to let them know that I had gotten sick in case other people did too, and they mailed us two $25 gift certificates. We went back the next week and used one of them, but I didn't get a cheeseburger. :) Overall, Colonial is a great place to stop by for breakfast food and ice cream...preferably in one sitting!

whenever I visit my family in Illinois I always come back to California chunky. One of the reasons is because my uncle likes to take us to places like the Colonial Cafe so we can feast on the kitchen sink. I wonder if you still get a bumper sticker for ordering it? From what I remember, it's just a normal little homey restaurant that seems more popular for its icecream than for its food. I also remember thinking the kitchen sink would be bigger than what it actually turned out to be. Five stars because places like this reminds me of lovely summers in th suburbs.

If you need to eat breakfast in the afternoon/evening and you are in Geneva this is the ONLY place you can find it. I was suffering from a major hangover yesterday and I went to this place for the best hangover cure: 2 pancakes, 2 bacon, 2 eggs (over-easy of course!), and 2 sausages. It definitely hit the spot and made me feel a ton better. The pancakes are a little chewy and not as fluffy as I like them, but when you are desperate for a breakfast thats within a close reach this place is perfect.

This is an ice cream only stop. Don't go there expecting great food other than ice cream and you won't be disappointed. It's just adequate food. The "Make your own sundae" rocks but the kitchen sink could use some improvement. It makes me think of Baker's Square. Great for dessert, hit or miss for dinner. None the less, I enjoy Colonial very much. It's worth visiting.

What a train wreck. Due to a minor home disaster, had to take the kiddos out of the house and recalled that kids eat free on Mondays. There was quite a line so apparentely a lot of people want to take advantage of the kids eat free day. We were finally seated, kids given menus but no crayons. No water, no anything. Finally our server comes and says the kitchen is way backed up so he'll be back to take our order in awhile and then buzzes away before I can utter a syllable. Finally comes back and I order an appetizer because I have starving kids. I kid you not, I could not flag anyone down for 45 minutes. I finally get a manager to come over and he says that he will check on the appetizer. We finally received the order of cheese fries 55 minutes later and were permitted to order. About 25 minutes later the kid entrees arrived but mine is missing. Told it would be about 10 more minutes. Finally it arrives, and it's the wrong entree. I am hungry, have exhaused, cranky kids, and apparentely no dinner. I ask for free ice cream to attempt to rectify the situation. The server agrees and says he will put it in now because the kitchen is so behind. Well the ice cream arrived but still no entree for me. The server says that he thought I didn't want it anymore. WHAT? Seriously? I didn't have to pay the bill and was given two coupons for a free appetizer or tulip sundae but are you kidding me? The whole ordeal took over two hours. Come on people staff accordingly! They were never rude about it but clearly the servers needed more guidance from the manager, who was clearly not running a tight ship. Again, he was polite but needs some help to straighten this place out.

We've been to the new Colonial Cafe restaurant probably 7 times since it's opened. We've noticed that we have received prompt service and good food on Sunday mornings. We've also noticed that the past two times we went at dinner time (6-8pm) we've had slow/no service and missing parts of our meal. It's seems to us that they are less staffed at night. There is a small waiting area at the front door that often gets crowded when they are busy. The bathrooms have always been clean when we were there. Price seems high to us compared to the amount & quality received.

The food is not that great, about what you'd expect at a Denny's. But no one in their right mind goes to Colonial for the food, you go for the ice cream! The ice cream is really good. It's one of the few ice cream places left that serves hard scoop rather than soft serve or custard. A great place to get a sundae without giving your money to that Oberweis creep!

Visited their new location and was severely disappointed by the food. Ordered a burger rare and it came out at least medium well. My $2 side of fruit was only 2 slivers of melon, and my wife's fries were soaked with grease and also was a small portion.
